Indian Share Market Open with Weak Position

The Indian Share Market indices have opened the day on a weak note. Stocks in the Auto and Realty space are phasing the losses. However, FMCG and Software Stocks are trading in green shaded.

The BSE index, Sensex today is down by around 32 points (0.2%), while the NSE index, Nifty is down by around 8 points (0.1%). The mid cap and small cap Stocks have opened in the red shade with the BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap Indies down by 0.7% and 0.2% respectively. The Rupee is traded at 53.71 to the US dollar.


Energy Stocks have opened the day on a mixed note with Oil India Ltd (OIL) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) are in a phase of gainer. However, Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (GSPL) and Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) have opened on a weak note.

Leading Financial daily, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has closed its eight well on main gas fields in KG-D6 block. The gas output has hits an all time low of 20.88 million standard cubic meters per day.

Pharma Stocks have opened the day on a mixed note with Aurobindo Pharma Ltd and Dr Reddy’s Ltd trading weak. However, Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Divis Laboratories Ltd have opened in green shade. 

In a Global Market, the Asian Stock market have opened the day on a mixed note with Stock markets in Malaysia up 0.4% and Japan up 0.4% trading firm. However, market in Hongkong down 0.2%, South Korea down 0.4% and Taiwan down 0.4% are facing selling pressure.
